Fees for Non-NHS Services

ALL NON-NHS REQUESTS ARE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PRACTICE AND CLINICIANS AT ALL TIMES

The NHS provides free health care for most people.

It is important to understand that our doctors are self employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.

Please expect a fee for non NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform of any charges before carrying out non NHS work.

During the current times some or all of the services noted below may NOT be available.  Please contact the Practice Manager for further details.

The secretary/GP/other staff member will confirm the charge before completion to ensure you agree to this.

Services which are out with the NHS Contract

The National Health Service provides most healthcare to the majority of people free of charge, but there are exceptions. GPs are self-employed and are contracted to provide NHS general medical services for their patients.

Sometimes, GPs are asked to provide additional services which fall outside their contract and in these circumstances, they are entitled to make a reasonable charge for providing them.
