Our Practice List is open. Patients living within the boundary are welcome to attend the surgery between 9am and 5pm to either collect registration forms and return with them completed or you can complete in the surgery. Information regarding all surgeries in your area can be obtained from NHS24 at www.nhs24.com or by telephoning the Health Authority Enquiries on 0131 275 7038.
Dependants of currently registered patients living at the same address, i.e. students returning for holidays will be accepted as temporary patients.
If you are staying within our practice area for a period of less than 3 months and you require medical attention we are happy to treat you as a ‘temporary resident’. This is usually treatment for which cannot wait until you return home.
If you have moved into the practice area for a period in excess of three months you will be advised to register fully with the practice, For further information click please speak to the reception team
On arrival in our practice area you discover you have left your regular medication behind or have ran out of some medication: in the first instance we would recommend you contact your own practice and ask if they will liaise with a local pharmacy to provide your medication on receipt of a faxed prescription from the practice (NOT controlled drugs).
Trouble finding a GP? Write to PSD – Medical, PO BOX 17363, Edinburgh, EH12 1ET. They will be able to assign you to a Practice.
If you are from out with the UK, you must bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you or proof that you have already been resident in the UK for 12 months or more. You can apply for an EHIC here, free of charge: European Health Insurance Card Application
If you are not eligible for NHS registration you can still be seen as a private patient.
